The Pharmabiotics Conference Advisory Committee with the PRI Team and I-Squared Media are pleased to announce the upcoming 9th edition of the annual Pharmabiotics Conference & Partnering Event, 12-14 March, in Lille.

This year’s theme, ‘An Evolving Regulatory Landscape’, refers to the recently published proposal for a new SoHO regulation and the ongoing revision to the EU general pharmaceuticals legislation, both of which will have a lasting impact on the future requirements and technical standards for microbiome innovators and their development planning.

This year “Pharmacomicrobiomics” is the keynote session theme. Chaired by Michael Zimmerman, it will focus on the increasingly relevant area of drug-microbiota metabolism.

This edition will bring forward presentations from along the different stages of microbiome-based product development – Fundamental Science, Discovery & Preclinical research, In-human clinical trials, and bringing all these stages into focus with a full session on Microbiome Regulatory Science considerations & updates, chaired by Yolanda Sanz.

This year’s event will also feature a new 3-day format.

And finally, a key change for 2024 – PRI Industry and Networking Members can now benefit from a pass included in their updated Membership agreements!

I invite all microbiome innovators and stakeholders to join us in Lille for what has become a truly unique event in the microbiome development ecosystem. At the heart of our collaborative approach at the PRI is the sense that by joining together and sharing key learnings, the field can move forward as a whole. I feel this year’s program is a true reflection of these values. Also, this will be an opportunity to learn about the collaborative work the PRI Team has been involved in as the forthcoming publication from the MEDICEN working group on drug-microbiota metabolism will be presented. Another key initiative we supported is the development of microbiome guidelines for the United Kingdom that will be presented by the MHRA’s Chrysi Sergaki. I look forward to seeing you in Lille in March.
